Alors oubliez Paint !
Je vous conseille de prendre Paint.net (site officiel) ou bien The GIMP (site officiel). Ce dernier est plus difficile à prendre en main mais offre de plus grandes possibilités.

Avec Paint.net:
Ouvrez l'image.

Sélectionnez l'outil gomme et gommez les parties que vous voulez voir … gommées.

Sinon, vous pouvez procéder de la manière suivante : Sélectionnez l'outil “baguette magique” et cliquez sur la partie à effacer. Si la sélection déborde sur l'image, réduisez la tolérance (en haut de l'écran). Une fois la partie à effacer sélectionnée, appuyez sur la touche [Suppr] pour supprimer cette partie.

Avec The GIMP
Ouvrez l'image.

Sélectionnez l'outil “Gomme” et gommez les parties en trop.

OU

- Sélectionnez l'“Outil de sélection contiguë”.

- Cliquez sur la zone que vous voulez effacer.

- Appuyez sur la touche “Suppr” ou “Del”.
